I spent two Saturdays in Atlanta attending a Patina Workshop. We learned to etch copper and brass. We learned chemistry to allow us to develop wonderful patinas in a range of colors on the metal. I enjoyed being in a class environment (I like the camaraderie) and working in a great studio space. One of the steps in the Japanese technique of patina has the metal packed in shredded daikon radish for 2 hours or more. We also roller printed the metal and fold formed it which I have done before in workshops. The teacher also demonstrated cold connection stone setting. I had two full enjoyable days and look forward to more classed in the fall and winter.
